Bill Walker ( BSC CQSW) - Director
Bill worked as a social worker and manager in local authority children's services for over 20 years before setting up Compass in 1996.

Jane Greenhalgh (BA PGCE CSS Dip Man) - Director
Jane worked as a secondary school teacher for 5 years before qualifying as a social worker. She managed a local authority's leaving care service for 9 years before setting up Compass with Bill Walker.

Jill Merrall (DMS) - Chief Executive
Jill worked as an administrator in a local authority social services department before taking up managerial roles in industry. Jill joined Compass in 2001.

Karen Marks (DIPSW) - Head of Service Fostering East
After a number of years running her own company Karen became a foster carer for 7 years, at the same time as working as a counsellor for Childline. She qualified as a social worker in 1998 and has worked for Independent Fostering Providers since then. She became Head of Service Fostering in 2007.

Glenda Barratt (CEd) - Head of Service Education
Glenda has extensive experience in education: She has worked in mainstream primary schools, in units for students with disabilities, and with autism spectrum disorder. She was also a member of a pre-school special needs team. She joined Compass in 1998 and became Manager of Education Services in 2004.
